We often seek and are given the same advice about how to create positive change in our lives. We are given advice about the three steps toward positive change: 1) Let go, 2) release and surrender and 3) forgive. Because this advice is easier said than done, we often do not accept the advice.
On a daily basis, we live with our thoughts, cares, and problems. We become emotional over the things that most concern us, and we begin to fret and fear over the choices or decisions we need to make.
Questions arise such as: Is this the right decision? What if? Will this ever change? We toss and turn at night, trying to decide what to do. As we weigh all our options, we toss back and forth between opinions.
Our cares and problems greatly concern us. That is why we expend so much energy trying to solve them. It can be a struggle to follow the advice to 1) let go, 2) release and surrender, and 3) forgive.
The mantra, “Energy flows where attention goes,” helps us make sense of the advice, because this mantra works as the law of attraction in our lives. This mantra means that we manifest the focus of our attention. As we change our thought patterns and 1) let go, 2) release and surrender, and 3) forgive, this mantra can manifest positive change in our lives.
This simple mantra begs us to start asking the right questions: Why are we trying so hard? What are we accomplishing? Where is our attention?
We can either have a faith or a fear-based attention. Faith and fear have a lot in common. They both focus on the UNKNOWN. More than likely, our attention is fear based.
If we put negative fear into the Universe, it attracts more negative energy. If we put faith into the Universe, it attracts more positive energy. That is why it is necessary for us to change from a fear-based attention to a faith-based attention.
By using faith-based attention we begin the process of acceptance. We begin to accept the positive, ki energy we are attracting to us. We accept that change will happen when it needs to, in the right time, and in the right way. We accept that we cannot change the past, but we can have positive expectations for our future.
We must practice allowing faith and positive energy to work for us. As we allow them to work for us, they enable us to have positive thoughts, feelings and emotions. We no longer have to worry and fear about our problems. Instead, we have confidence that positive thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors will continue to attract more positive ki energy.
My hope is that all of us can put positive thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors into the Universe, so that we can make positive changes in our lives.
